  • Fire relief efforts: In Grand Lake looking for volunteers
    • Sat., June 5 |  10:00 am to 3:00 pm Phase 1 - Trails Restoration
    • 25 volunteers are needed to spread and rake seed where dead trees have been cut and chipped. Lunch and water will be provided. This is a District Natural Disaster Response Committee project utilizing the Colorado Wildfire Disaster Relief Funds. Additional dates for the Trails Restoration project will be coming throughout the summer.
    • Sat., June 12 | 9:30 am Summer Clean-Up
    • Volunteers are needed to help clear lots damaged by the East Troublesome Fire. This is a Grand Lake Rotary club project in conjunction with Adopt-A-Family. 
  • Upcoming Online Events: Understanding our History on May 27th 7-8PM, Ethics and the Four Way test is June 3rd 6:30-7:30 PM, Rotary International virtual convention on June 12-16th
  • Peaches: Confirmed for Saturday August 28th. Unfortunately, we can’t use the Aspen Park shopping center as we have in the past. But there are some other options either with Taspens or even one of the RTD Park n’ Ride lots that are being looked into.
  • Evening Meetings: The next evening group meeting on June 9th at 26667 De Berry Street in Conifer, or Our Lady of the Pines Church if weather is inclement. The evening group got together last week and pulled all of the tents out of the shed and organized everything which is looking great.
  • Virtual RYLA: Happening on Saturday July 24th with two amazing speakers lined up. If you know anyone who might be interested let Suzanne or Diana know. 
  • Conifer High School Graduation: Great event, over 2000 familie members and guests. Really great kids and recognition for them. One Stanford, Harvard, Naval Academy two, One going to Air Force Academy. Conifer HS gets the top of the list because of any kids who want to go to a service academy. Daniels Fund scholarship recipient going to school of Mines. Seniors get to graduate two weeks early, everyone else is taking finals this week, sports are still going on and wrapping up for the season.
