  • Volunteer for the 9 Health Fair: Saturday October 17, 2020 at Platte Canyon High School. Please contact Charlotte about the task you would like to perform. See the email sent last week via Club Runner with the jobs that need to be covered. Charlotte will be sending the link for you to sign up for our Platte Canyon High School 9Health Fair….watch for that link. Look for our Conifer Rotary FaceBook page that Leonor created for the event. Great job.

  • Next week we will have Conifer Rotary Foundation elections and we will learn about what the grant process will be for this year. Ed also is asking that the file that has all the information about previous grantees and amounts of money our Conifer Rotary Foundation has given over the years be provided.

  • September 29, there will NOT be a meeting. Yvonne and Tom will be talking about a Club social on October 3 or 4th….Watch for an announcement.

  • The zoom Board meeting will be Monday September 14 at 6pm. All members are welcome to attend. Send Marlis a message is you would like the link for the meeting.

  • The District has DDF (District Designated Funds) monies for projects we would like to do. Please share any ideas you may have.

  • Janine has re-printed out our new Club brochure. Let her know if you would like copies to share with your community. She always puts one in the new member folders.

  • We sent 280 masks to the Oglala Sioux Nation and 80 to a school in Thornton.

  • The Zoom Conifer Town Hall meeting is September 25. Go to Coniferareacouncil.org for the zoom link.

  • MRC needs funding for the leaking cistern. Go on line to donate.

September is Literacy Month. Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides any child from birth to age 5 with an age-appropriate book every month at no cost to families. Anyone can sign up. Our Rotary Club supports this program.

The signature project for Rotary International and all Rotary Clubs around the world is POLIO Eradication. On August 25, WHO announced that the Wild Polio Virus has been eradicated in all 47 African nations? 90% of the world is now free of Polio. Afghanistan and Pakistan are the two countries where the Wild Virus continues.
