Welcome new member: Stanley Harsha!
- The St. Patrick’s Day event is underway.
- There are photos on the coniferfest.com page.
- No one has signed up for the Leprechaun Trap but Angela has gathered participants’ money as well as the online registrants.
- Thanks to Angela, Pat, Amanda for getting the word out to the community!
- The Rotary Wildfire fire preparedness day will be May 1st.
- The Wildfire Education Truck will be at Elk Creek Fire Station at Richmond Hill 8a-11a and in Bergen Park Fire House 1p-4p.
- The truck will be a tool for educating the public about all the preparations neighbors/families need to create. There are interactive features to engage kids’ interest. There is a plan to find a place to park the truck ahead of the event to publicize the May 1 event.
- Donations can be made to rotarywildfireready.com.
- The District 5450 Rotary community event will be May 8th
- This will be a day of service as part of the District Conference, promoting Rotary in our greater community as well as engaging clubs to work together.
- Our Area-8 Rotary Clubs will focus on raising funds/gathering food for our food pantries.
- The planning committee will determine which pantries will be supported
- Marketing for our 285 corridor in conjunction with the other Area-8 Clubs could include newspapers, ConiferRadio, social media, Our Mountain Town, flyers, Chambers and all our members
- We will need to continue to brainstorm how to get donations—i.e., drive-thru food drops; web-site fund donations
- Who else can volunteer to help?
- Let’s promote the May 8 event and raise some money by having a large pickle jar with candy with an online photo
- Leonor to help design an info poster to promote
- The committee will determine the price of tickets and how the money would be distributed for the pantries/backpacks.
