Rotary License Plate Petition Update: ​​Signatures were submitted to the State of Colorado for the specialty Rotary license plate. However, several hundred were disqualified for being duplicates or having PO Box addresses - so there is one final request for online signatures.

Evergreen Ice Melt Contest: A fundraiser done by the Mt. Foothills Rotary Club - guess when the barrel will fall through the ice this spring on Evergreen Lake. Participants will also need to guess the high temperature in Evergreen which will be used as a tiebreaker. For more info, please click here
 
ConiferFest: Wes is working on options for a new location for this year’s ConiferFest, if you have any connections or ideas, please contact Wes.
 
St Patty’s Auction: We’re looking for auction items, if you have any ideas or leads, please let Amanda know! We already have some things in the works with Golden Pine, Los 3 Garcia, and Aspen Peak Wine Cellars. 
 
Boys and Girls Club: Roses are still for sale, they’re really beautiful and only $2 a piece. Mother’s day, thinking of someone you love, Easter, or any occasion you can think of - they’re great gifts that last forever. Area 8 Social: There is a PayPal link on rotaryconifer.org where you can submit payment for the Area 8 social. The paypal link includes a PayPal fee with the total amount coming to $45.99 per person. Cash payments can be made directly to Angela or by mailing a check to the rotary PO box at PO Box 1430, Conifer, CO 80433. Cash payments are at the original price (without the PayPal fee added) of $43.98 per person.
 
Home & Garden Show: We have room to fill about 20 booths so if you have someone who’d like a booth please let Janine know. We want to focus on local vendors as much as possible, we have a good amount of construction and contractor folks, but we’re also having local artists join as well. A sign up genius will be coming to help out with the event, if you can please sign up for a couple of hours. 
 
 
Upcoming Events:
 
St Patrick’s Day: We will be having a fundraising event at the Snowpack Taproom where we’ll do an auction and have a band for entertainment. March 17th starting at 5PM until they close.  If you’d like to assist with finding auction items, please contact Wes or Amanda.
 
Area 8 Social: Planned for April 6 2022 at El Ranch, a great opportunity to meet fellow Rotarians from other clubs! You can make payment by mailing a check to the Rotary PO Box, with cash, or by using the PayPal link rotaryconifer.org. Note there is a small additional fee when paying with the PayPal link.

Meeting Program: Nancy Hiester and Susan Henry - Bootstraps, Inc. Scholarships and Loans https://www.bootstrapsinc.org/ 
 
  • Bootstraps provides scholarship funds for kids in the mountain community in financial need.
  • The mission of Bootstraps, in partnership with the community, is to support the continuing education of promising students in the mountain area, ​with an emphasis on financial need.
  • In 1945, a group of civic-minded citizens formed Evergreen Scholarship Association to recognize an outstanding graduating senior from Evergreen High School, then the only high school in the Evergreen-Conifer area. In the spring of 1946, the association awarded two $150.00 two-year scholarships. 
  • The number and amount of scholarships increased as contributions grew, and the organization continued to award scholarships in May of each successive year.
  • Bootstraps provides scholarships and interest free loans to graduating highschool students in the community. 
  • There is a Preference for Interact members, RYLA participation, and for those heavily involved in community service.
