Updates and Announcements

Evening Meetings: The next evening meeting is on Wednesday February 23rd  at 5:30 PM at Our Lady of the Pine Catholic Church.

285 Backpack Project Request: The Back Pack Pantry Program serves Schools in our mountain communities for Jeffco schools and Platte Canyon schools.  This program is huge for the families in need that we send a bag of food home each week with kids from Elementary to High School so they have breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks to eat thru the weekend when they can not get the meal assistance form the schools.

We have amazing volunteers but we need help so our volunteers can also get a break and take care of themselves as well. We have a link for sign up genius on the website that will show you all the places we need help each week. An urgent need is for people to help Pack Platte Canyon bags which is done at Deer Creek Elementary each Thursday. Also we always need people that can help move the food from the pantry in Aspen park to Deer Creek Elementary each week.  The food to be moved to Platte Canyon (aka Deer Creek)  and be picked up anytime after noon on Tuesdays and before 9am on Thursdays.

Any help be it once a month,  weekly,  every couple of months would be amazing.

Also we would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have someone who can go to St. Laurence's Church after the snow Tuesday am -Thursday am to help shovel the snow from the Pantry Door to the driveway. The church plows the driveway but does NOT shovel that walkway.
